Sticks and stones may break my windows...

Sunday morning, we went to get in the van to leave for church and discovered this:
That's a shattered window, from a rock thrown SO HARD that it broke the interior paneling on the opposite side of the van.

And this is my boy's carseat full of glass.  :(

Between the age of the carseat (7 years),

and the glass embedded in it, and the fact that he's 8 now, we decided to just toss the seat.  So, for Furby, at least, there's a huge silver lining to the broken window, in that now he won't have to ride in a car seat any more.

This is the floor in front of his carseat.

Here is Paul, taking all the glass out of the window.  I did most of the interior vacuuming, and then he pulled the panel to expose tons more glass in the duct work that all had to be sucked out.

Even Brianna helped, by emptying out the van with me and moving all the stuff into the garage.

Fortunately, all's well that ends well, and this morning the glass guy came and replaced it.  I can think of other things I'd rather have spent $300 on, but I'm glad no one was hurt, and the van is drive-able.
