China Trip: Meet Perry
Today, I'd like to introduce you to Perry. Perry's advocate, Becky, has gone above and beyond, and has secured an additional grant to help his potential adoptive family with the expense of adoption.
At 10 years old, Perry was the oldest child in our group.
He draws well, and is a good-natured boy who follows directions and shares with others.
On the way back from an outing, Becky and Perry were sitting across the aisle from Aury and I. The windows were fogged up, and I showed Aury he could draw on them. Perry noticed, and he proceeded to draw a face on his window, too.
Perry's special need is cerebral palsy. He is fully continent, but he does not walk. He needs a family who will see past the wheelchair to the great kid that he is.
Please read Becky's moving account of her time with him over at her blog, Too Special. You'll also find more information there about the grants available to a family choosing to pursue him.

I have a friend who is hosting a little boy from China. It's obvious that you have a very big heart. Thanks for sharing Perry's story with us at the Over the Moon Link Party.
ReplyDeleteOh that's neat! I hope the child meets his family while he's here. :)
