I remember seeing a preview of this movie (maybe at Dolphin Tale 2?) and thinking, "I have to see that movie."
The Identical is now out on DVD, and we got to review a copy. If you go into this expecting it to be the story of both twins, as I did, you will be disappointed. If you approach this movie as the story of only the twin that was adopted, you may enjoy it more. Here's the trailer:
Ultimately, The Identical is the story of coming to terms with adoption, which makes it a relevant film for our family. Obviously, every adoptee processes this differently, but I had no objection to how the adoption themes played out.
