Fun News

I've been accepted as an affiliate for Little Passports!  All year long, we've had fun with them, as we've learned about different countries.  (You can click HERE to see us enjoying the contents and projects.)

Whether you're looking for a fun summer enrichment, or something to supplement next year's homeschool curriculum, or you just have a kid who loves to get mail, I hope you'll check out Little Passports.  We have been very happy with their products.

Not only to they have an Around The World program, but they also have a 50 States program, as well!

  1. I'm really going to have to look into this. Geography is not my strong suit, and my kids seem to thrive with unit studies! Thanks for the info.

  2. I am going to have to look into this program. I have heard it mentioned before but never really took the time to look at it.

  3. How old were your kids that you used it with? I would be interested in the USA version for my 11 year old if it weren't too easy for her. I see that it is recommended through age 10. What do you think?

    1. My kids are 9, 11, and 13. The 9 year old is a struggling reader and was not able to do all the puzzles. The 11 year old found some of them challenging, but was able to complete all of them. The 13 year old enjoyed it, and no one ever said anything was too babyish.

We did not use the online games as much as I would have liked. Each month, you unlock a new game. I think we have some that they never actually played. This wasn't due to them not liking the games, but rather my 13 year old spends all of her computer time on Ravelry and Pinterest, and my 11 year old on Lego.com or a Sim type game. I may encourage them to mess around with the Little Passports games over the summer as a means of reducing "Summer Brain Drain."
