A while back, I remarked in a review, "Who knew boots could be romantic?" It seems that was not the only book in which the hero gives boots to the heroine. Actually, in Meant To Be Mine, the hero first gives a pair of pink light up boots to the heroine's young daughter. Which is pretty endearing.
As a former single mom, I had mixed feelings about Meant To Be Mine. Oh, it was a good book. I enjoyed it. But personally, if someone had wanted to come along and take away all my financial worries, I totally would have let them. Celia, however, is fiercely independent. I think she's also punishing Ty for not being there for her when she needed him.
Just as a recent book I read was set in the world of hockey, Meant To Be Mine is set in the world of bull riding, which was kind of fun, because I knew less than nothing about bull riding before picking up this book.
Meant To Be Mine was a sweet, wholesome love story, that I had no problem sharing with my teen daughter. Brianna read it in a day and loved it.
