This is my step mother. We call her Buddy.
She's amazing.
Not only is she who I want to be like when I grow up, but she also took on ALL THESE GUYS for two weeks while Paul and I were in China. Again.
They live out of state, so I don't get to see them as much as I would like.
When I found out that my dad and their kids would be in town to meet us at the airport, I had an idea.
I asked my awesome airport photographer to take a few shots of their family.
You see, they're building a house right now.
And I thought maybe a nice, big family picture might be just the thing for all those blank, new walls.
Darcy got 2 really nice shots at the airport.
In fact, I had a hard time choosing which one to use.
And then the God Thing happened.
I was given the opportunity to review for Easy Canvas Prints.
That means that this gorgeous wrapped canvas, with a retail price of $89.41 was actually free. My favorite price.
It also means that YOU get the chance to win a FREE 8x10" canvas from Easy Canvas Prints, too!
Have you clicked for us today? Thank you very much!
I think my favorite posts are about how all of your children are changing! It's esp. fun to see the 2 Newbies adjusting to family life.
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering! Never a dull moment around here, so I have plenty of material to share, lol.
DeleteShecki, My favorite thing about your blog is how you inspire me and also show us how real you are. Your posts aren't all about how perfect you and your family is, but instead about how real you all are.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shannon. I've often wanted to put up some sort of disclaimer: "If you're looking for one of those blogs where the large herd of children all wear matching, home sewn, neck to floor dresses, and play instruments and speak Latin, STOP, back away slowly, this is NOT the blog for you!" ;)
DeleteI have enjoyed reading about your adoption journey! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lisa, my fellow Crew-er!
DeleteYAY YAY YAY for giveaways!
ReplyDeleteI love to read about your adoption journey and how you handle your family life.
ReplyDeleteThanks Timmi! :)
DeleteHonesty. My favorites are the posts about the unknowns that crop up and your "soldering on" through adversity. I, too, wonder how people navigate the system if their life circumstances have not prepared them to have the iron will.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, I thought I was a "special needs mom" from having an IEP for one of my kids, and for dealing with Hannah's limb differences. This, however, is a whole new ballgame, and I realize I had no idea.
DeleteMy favorite thing about your blog is that you are real about how things are going; not just the ups but also the downs.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't tell you what my favorite post is because I enjoy them all but I can tell you my favorite moment. I got so excited when I noticed on your husband's fire engine that he works in San Rafael. That's the town right next to where I live!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, are you in Novato? Those yellow engines are distinctive, aren't they? :)
Deletefavorite post was the reveal of your plan to adopt Luke as well :)
