Total Home Makeover GIVEAWAY

What a lovely book!  Part devotional, part instruction manual, part encouraging neighbor over for a chat, author Renee Metzler takes you on a journey of self discovery and improvement. Total Home Makeover teaches you to manage your self, your family, and your home, with a plan to renew and organize your life.

The first part of the book helps you set your routines.  I came up with a Daily list and a Weekly list while reading this section.  Things I always mean to do, but might not always get to.  Having those lists, I can be reminded at a glance.  There are free printables on the Total Home Makeover website to help you come up with your lists.

The second section helps you coach your family.  Any system will fall apart if you can't get the rest of the household to buy into it.  This is usually a challenge for our family, and ends with me being frustrated, but the book offers some helpful suggestions for getting your cohabitants on board.

The third section helps you transform your home.  Each day, you look at an area in your house and think about what you need there, what you don't need there, and how to make the space flow better for it's function.  The book was a springboard for me to think about how to take these ideas and go deeper for our specific household arrangement.

More than just a book, Total Home Makeover's mission is to renew the space and spirit of one mom, one family, one community, and one nation at a time.

Plus, you can get the exclusive Mom's Tool Kit to accompany your book if you purchase Total Home Makeover between September 23 and September 28, 2013.

  3. Clean the kitchen before you go to bed. I can't stand to wake up to a mess.

  4. My favorite tip was given to me right before my first child was born. A wise lady told me to make sure and push start on the dishwasher every night before going to bed so that you wake up to clean dishes and a clean sink. That way we can unload and fill it with the dirty dishes all day.
