Movie - When We Last Spoke - giveaway #whenwelastspokeMIN #MomentumInfluencerNetwork

Are you in the mood for a wholesome movie?  No off color language or steamy bedroom scenes?  You might enjoy a movie I watched this week, called When We Last Spoke.

This award winning film was based on the book by Marci Henna.  You may notice a couple of well known actors:  Corben Bernsen (from Psych, a favorite in our house, and also The Last Straw, a family Christmas movie) and Melissa Gilbert (from Little House on the Prairie).

The movie takes place in two time periods, bouncing back and forth from when the girls are growing up, and when they're adults.  It does a good job of capturing a small town Americana feel.

If you have adopted or sensitive kids, be aware that there are themes of loss and abandonment in this movie.  You may want to preview and decide if it's appropriate for your children.  The Vietnam War is briefly depicted, and, although an important character dies, there's no gruesome death scene.  I don't want to give away too much of what happens, and spoil it for you.

Check out the When We Last Spoke website for viewing options, including streaming on Amazon Prime.  For those of you who don't have Prime, I'm giving away one digital access code to view the movie online.  To enter, just leave a comment with one of your favorite movies.  Maybe you can introduce me to one I haven't seen!

  1. Thanks for the heads up about a clean, family movie!!

I doubt you haven't seen them already, but we're huge fans of the Love Comes Softly movies--about 8 or so of them. :)
