Sunday Snapshot

As Sam would say, "Good goodness!"  I've got some beautiful kids.  In an effort to do something I enjoy, I dressed my two 2 year olds up in their China silks and took some pictures.  Bri jumped into her silk dress and joined in the fun, as well.

Katie girl
Swoon

She's a sweet, precious, good-natured little creature.

Her spontaneous English words right now are:  Uh oh, Eli, Brianna, yummy, and more.

She likes to build with mega blocks and play with Hannah's dollhouse.  She doesn't like wearing a bib, being alone in a room, or cats.

A cat interrupted our photo shoot.

Baby Luke

2 on the outside, 8 months old on the inside.
Mostly mellow, sometimes screamy.

Cute enough to get away with not sleeping through the night, but oh, son, I will celebrate when you do!

Beautiful Breezy
Home from camp, rejuvenated from her week away.

I may have resorted to candy bribes to obtain some of these photos.

It was worth it.

  1. Oh goodness you have some cute kiddos! I have re-read your blog from this last China trip. While I followed along while you were there, it has been like moral support for me while we are here in China still. I'm adjusting to having a little guy again. He's two on Friday but his physical differences make it much more like caring for a much much you get child. A much, much, much heavier, younger child (about 24 lbs at almost two!). :) Thanks for sharing about Luke, Shecki. It's helped me mentally.

    1. I'm glad my experience has been an encouragement! Another friend of mine is in China now, adopting a 2 yr old girl from Katie's SWI. If you run across a Lisa with a cutie named Sutton in GZ, tell them I said hi! :)

Do you have a carrier? If not, you can ask your guide to take you to buy a couple meters of fabric (2.5), and fashion a sling to help distribute the weight a bit. Lmk if you need better directions, I'm on my phone.
