One Girl Nation CD GIVEAWAY

Any teen or pre-teen girls in your house?  Let me tell you about One Girl Nation!  One Girl Nation is the answer to the question, "What happens when 5 Christian girls form a pop band?"

Lindsey, Kayli, Lauryn Taylor, Carmen and Kelsey are the girls that make up One Girl Nation.  I could tell you they've been compared to One Direction, or TobyMac, but really, the very best way to explain them is to say, "Hey, give this a listen!"  It's peppy.  I went into Bri's room while she had it on, and I was thinking, "This is catchy.  I like it!"

Brianna likes it, too.  And let's just say, I'd rather have her listening to lyrics that say, "We're gonna live for Jesus while we're young," than, "It sucks to be me," from Avenue Q, you know?  Her favorite song is 1 Girl Nation.

My favorite (of the ones I've listened to so far) is Turn Around.  Honestly, what mom wouldn't want her kids to hear, "You're never too far from a brand new start.  You can turn around."  I'd like to play that subliminally to ALL my kids, boys and girls, home and away.  That's kind of the lesson we're going for overall, right?  Nothing we've done can separate us from the love of God?

One thing I discovered with this review is that it's very hard to capture listening to music in a photograph!  This is Brianna loom knitting with headphones on.

She had the CD playing while her friend was over, and the friend said, "What is this?  I like it!"

  1. I'm sure my girls would love it. I'm not sure what would be my favorite song but I'd probably have one after the first week or two of it being in the house. (I did like we are young long ago)

  3. My oldest is only 8, so I have no idea what there is for Christian teen music :) But, my 8 year old loves music and would probably love it if I gave her a cd like this :) I'm with you - I'd far rather have her listening to something like this than a lot of the other music out there! Thanks for hosting this give away!

    1. That's a good one. I'd love to find Bri an old hymnal to try to learn how to play it on the keyboard.
