Remember when we reviewed My Image Bracelet Maker? Well, they must have liked our review, because they offered Brianna her choice of either My Lanyard Maker or My Friendship Bracelet Maker for an additional review.
She chose My Lanyard Maker, and was very excited when it arrived! (Being the mean mommy that I am, I let her open the shipping box, but I made her wait until she was finished with her school work to get into it, so it wasn't until the next day that she started using it.)
"Look at all these colors!" She thought from the box that there were only 6, so that was a pleasant surprise.
There are two types of lanyard making material here, flat and round. AND you can buy refill kits, so the fun goes on and on.
She picked blue and green for her first lanyard.
Confession? When she learned to make lanyards at camp, I got really tired of being asked to hold the end so she could make them. So we were both happy that the lanyard maker eliminated the need for two people to be involved.
The nifty loop makes it easy for her to make lanyards by herself.
She also made a cool twirly one in pink and black.
There are downloadable instruction sheets on the website for you to make several different kinds of lanyard.

ReplyDeleteI'm working on some dresses and skirts for my girls :)
ReplyDeleteSounds great! I've got a little something going in my sewing room, too. :)
DeleteI love lanyards! I could never remember how to start them though. I never needed a second person to make them though, they just hung loose (friendship bracelets got taped or pinned to our pants.)
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas I am making pajama pants for my sister's kids and then embroidering shirts for all my nieces and nephews.
I used to make my kids Christmas pajamas. I just don't get into the sewing room as much as I would like to now. And my embroidery machine hasn't seen action in a LONG time. Good for you!
DeleteI love lanyards, both of my daughters and myself would LOVE to win this so that we could make our own. This year I've been crocheting hats, scarves headbands and boot cuffs for gifts, and also french knitting bracelets. Thanks so much for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteAnother yarn lover! :) Bri is just starting to crochet. I'm in awe of what she can do.

DeleteWe are trying to make a Christmas wreath. Thats if they can stop gluing objects to themselves
ReplyDeleteOkay, this seriously made me LOL! :D Sounds like my house.
DeleteJust some holiday treats for the neighbors. Crafty crafts are really hard with a busy 15 month old who doesn't take naps.
ReplyDeleteOof! That sounds exhausting! We insist on nap time whether kids sleep or not. MAMA needs the break, lol.
DeleteI am not making any crafts, but my nieces love making crafts all the time. They would love this!
ReplyDeleteI've been cutting out snowflakes all day today!
ReplyDeleteOh, sweet! We should do that. I could tape them up on the school room window... The kids could cut while I read. Great idea, thanks!
DeleteWe make ornaments every year!
ReplyDelete:) We made ornaments with friends last week. I'll have to get some pictures up.
DeleteNot really crafting.. I'm more for baking =)

DeleteWe plan to try and make some wreaths, but we really love to bake!
ReplyDeleteI haven't made a wreath in ages! I glued potporri to a straw wreath once. It turned out pretty AND it smelled nice. :)
