Weekly Wrap Up, homeschool week 16, Germany

How lucky am I?  Seriously.  I get to spend my days with these guys.  It's not always easy, but snuggles and laughter generally outweigh shrieking and door slamming.
I am blessed.

We started GERMANY this week!  And we kicked it off with pfeffernusse cookies for snack, and bratwurst for dinner.  YUM

The cookies were...

...a unanimous hit.

Even the teens liked them when they got home from school.

Jack writes "Germany" in his passport.

Bri writes hers in the colors of the flag.

This is our Around The World tree.  We're adding to it as we go.

Here's the topper that Brianna made.

One of the highlights of each new country is new flags.

Goofy guys.

The kids played with polymer clay this week.

They made all sorts of fun creations.

Including this little pen holder on the left that Eli made me.
On the right is my tree from the Celebrate Christmas Around the World book.

The boys' trees were... interesting.  And a little messy.  Jacks was glued to the desk for a bit.

Brianna's was lovely, of course.  She added sparkle pom poms.

I love the scrabble tile Cheez-Its out now.  I had given Jack the option of making his words from them before, so when we opened a new box this week, Brianna asked if she could do her spelling words with them.  Only her words are a LOT longer than Jack's!  She ended up only doing 3 of them, lol.

Hannah works on her homework in the mornings before she goes to school.

Next week we'll finish up Germany, and then the following week we'll get started on Kenya!

  1. I have enjoyed seeing what your kids have been up to. I should get you an ornament if I get to go to Russia for your tree. It makes sense since you got me a china ornament when you came home with Hannah.
