Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I was seriously excited when I opened this review package!  "They sent me a tote bag!"  It doesn't take much to make me happy.  Given the size of our family, I was so pleased with the amount of samples they sent.

Pine Bros. softish throat drops come in Natural Honey, Wild Cherry, and Black Licorice.  Peeking around their website, I discovered that there's a Lemon Citrus flavor in the works set to release sometime in the next 2 years.  I requested and received the honey flavor.

I opened one of the "pucks" and had my family members sniff without telling them what flavor they were.  Most of them were leery, based on smell alone.  *I* thought they smelled like honey, but I knew what flavor they were, so my opinion was skewed.  But Brianna also said they smelled like honey, and she didn't know in advance.

What are "softish throat drops?"  They're a lozenge, similar to a cough drop, but not as hard, and they're intended for sore throats.

You know what I like best about Pine Bros. softish throat drops?  I can pronounce every single one of the ingredients.  Maybe that's because in 1870, when they were created, we didn't consume so many strange chemicals.

I received this generous package to review, just at the start of cold & sniffle season.  Sure enough, I didn't have to wait long before one of the kids was using them.  "They're a little like gummies, but they taste like honey," Brianna says.  "It was unusual, but good.  I took one in the morning because my throat is so dry from the heater being on in my room at night, and it made my throat better and I completely forgot about it until lunch time."

I gave one of the pucks to Paul to keep in his car, and he used them to soothe his throat after fighting fires.

I like that Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops are made in the USA.  You can read about the history of the company here.  You can connect with Pine Bros. on Facebook.  You can purchase softish throat drops at their website, or at local stores listed here.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. Shecki,

I work for Icon Media Group and we're working on a new title that released the beginning of January and I wanted to see if you might be interested in reviewing it. We'd be looking for a review to post in February, and are happy for you to host a giveaway as well, if you're interested. More information on Chasing God by Angie Smith is below—let me know if this is a title you'd be interested in reviewing. Thanks so much!!

    Chasing God
Let's be honest: we've all questioned whether or not we're doing this
"Christianity thing" the right way. Am I really a Christian? If I'm doing
everything right, why do I feel so far from God? What am I missing?

Best-selling author and highly sought-after speaker Angie Smith struggled
with these same questions, and the answers she discovered inspired her new
book, Chasing God (B&H Publishing, January 2014). In Chasing God, Smith
unpacks how our earthly, unrealistic expectations of God result in us
chasing Him, keeping us from following Him.
