Another Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Yes, I know, we already went to the pumpkin patch once this year.  And if you're looking for cute pictures of my little kids, that's the post for you.  This time, it was just the older ones.  Katie & Luke stayed home and napped with Daddy, since they're fighting a cold.  Hannah was back in school.

So it was just my usual 3 students

and my big helper boy.

It was nice to get to see some of the things I didn't notice when I was keeping track of the littles last time.

Aren't these pretty?  Brianna brought one home this time.

Makes a nice change from the ORANGE ones.

I propped the boy up against a nice, rustic looking building.

Despite the fact that homeschooling him hasn't gone how I thought it would go, it's been awfully nice having him around.  He's helpful.

And beyond that, we are getting along better than we have in years, and we enjoy each other's company.  I took him with me to run errands recently, and we had a blast together.  It was really nice.

We met up with friends while we were there, and you can see Jack lifting his buddy, N, clear off the ground in this shot.

They rode the Moo Mobile.

That what?  Yeah, it's pretty much 50 gallon drums on wheels.  They loved it.

There's a playground, too.

N is in gymnastics.

Isn't she beautiful?

I loved having Paul's camera with me this time and getting to take pictures and wander instead of "herding cats."

I think my friend Meg would call this the Stink Eye.

Of course, once the boys saw Brianna up in the tree, they had to climb it, too.  Monkey see...

There's a petting zoo.

This little guy reminded me of the goats we used to have in Santa Rosa.  Paul hates goats now.

Somewhere, we have a picture of these guys, here at the pumpkin patch, in a wagon, when they were just little tykes.

While I was looking for that one, I found this one instead.  I think this was taken the year after the wagon shot.  Jack (who was still Furby at the time) on the left, N on the right, and Brianna in the background, wearing the orange skirt.

This llama was whining.  I kid you not.

The dark one was a little more curious about us.  Yikes!

Awww!  He was so cute, poking his nose out curiously.

They also have bunnies and chickens

and a pig!

The kids discovered that the pig and the goats like to eat the acorns found outside their pen, so that was fun.

Making faces at me while we waited for the hay ride to start.

Group photos are always a challenge for us, but it was a lovely day.
