Quick and Easy Snacks

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I currently have 3 teenagers and 2 tweens amongst the kids living in my house.  That means we go through a lot of food!  And giving them access to quick and easy snacks that are healthy is important to me.

The kids were excited when I got the opportunity to try out Rumiano Cheese for review.  They kept asking, "Can we open the new cheese?"  "Can we eat it today?"

Finally, I grabbed the camera and told them it was cheese time!  Our first snack was simple cheese & crackers, which everybody loved.

We sampled Original Jack and Pepper Jack.  Brianna says the pepper jack is a little spicier than the brand we usually buy.

Eli loves spicy, so this was right up his alley.

Next up, quesadillas!  (That's cheese melted in a tortilla or two, if you're not already familiar with them.)  I noticed when I made this how nicely the cheese melted.

The older kids make quesadillas in the frying pan, but Jack makes his in the microwave.  Personally, I like the pan fried ones.

Eli got the first piece, but we shared so everyone who wanted some could try the new cheese.

It was good!

The girls got to try a piece with lunch.

Next, we made nachos!

While the nachos were in the oven, it gave me a chance to make some of my super simple guacamole!  4 ingredients:  a splash of lemon juice, a squirt of taco sauce, an avacado, and a dash of salt.  Squish, mix, and enjoy!

Rumiano Cheese Company is the oldest family-owned cheese company in California, dating back four generations.

Rumiano Cheese Company is committed to the organic and Non-GMO movement and continuing to produce the highest quality cheese inspired by their founding father’s recipes and cheese making techniques.  In 2011, Rumiano launched their Rumiano Family Organic line, which is the first cheese in the US market to receive Non-GMO Project Verification.

Rumiano Family Organic cheese can be found in select Whole Food Markets and natural food stores nationwide.  In fact, there's even a store locator on their website.

If you want to turn your snack into an educational experience, there are even cheese making videos you can watch to show you how Rumiano is made.  I learned something I didn't know, involving cocoa and black pepper!

Our family gives Rumiano cheese a whole bunch of thumbs up.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

    1. I love it because it's so easy! I know other people who add yogurt or peppers or whatever, so it's a "recipe" that's easy to play with without disastrous results, lol.

    1. Thanks, Lisa! Teens are like sharks when it comes to food. My 14 yr old football player son has just developed a special fondness for chocolate milk. I think we're going to need a chocolate cow!
