Until Then book review and $15 Amazon GC #giveaway

Last year, I got to review Goodbye, Magnolia.  I liked it, Brianna liked it, it was a sweet book.  Until Then is part prequel, part sequel to that book.

Until Then begins in the 90s, with 3 college room mates, their family situations, their hopes and dreams, and the boys they date.

Many parts intersect and further illuminate things from Goodbye, Magnolia.  We see lots of Simon in this book.  But this book centers around Michelle.

Michelle has had a hard life so far.  Her grandparents offer to pay for college to get her out of the rough part of Chicago, and away from her bad-influence friends.

Michelle immediately falls for Simon, but Simon only has eyes for her room mate.  The two become friends, however, and Simon's friendship is a much needed constant in Michelle's life.

One of Simon's friends, Sean, catches Michelle's eye next, and the two begin dating.  Michelle thinks she's found her soul mate!  Things get complicated, however, and Sean ends up leaving the school.  As we all know, long distance relationships rarely work out, and after Sean's letters to Michelle stop, she is crushed when she sees the wedding invitation he sends to Simon.

Life goes on, the friends graduate from college and begin their "real lives."  As time goes by, Michelle ends up working in the counselling office of the very college they attended.  And it's there that she runs into an old friend.

Whether you have read Goodbye, Magnolia or not, you'll want to read Until Then.  And then you'll want to read or re-read Goodbye, Magnolia!

Author Krista Noorman is doing a giveaway to celebrate the launch of Until Then!

I really enjoyed this story, and when I told Brianna there was a sequel to "that book about the wedding photographer" she was excited to read it, too.
