Olive Tree Promise

Did you catch that new button in the sidebar?  No?  Well, I'd like to tell you all about Olive Tree Promise.

Olive Tree Promise was founded by an adoptive family to help orphan care organizations and adoptive families.  Many of the items sold are made by local craftspeople in poverty stricken places, providing much needed jobs.  When you click through our link, click "support B-----d family" and make a purchase, we get a portion of those funds.  You will see "currently supporting __________ family" in the upper right corner.  There's quite a variety of products, from t-shirts to hand made jewelry to humanitarian donations, such as shoes, mosquito netting and infant formula.

CoupAide Adoption Fundraising

A huge thanks to those who have purchased restaurant dot com gift cards from our CoupAide fundraiser!  This is really a great deal for people who eat out.  And, of course, it's a great deal for us, too!

This is our week to be featured at Give 1 Save 1 Asia.  Donations through our Reece's Rainbow button in the right sidebar are tax deductible.

Why the big push of fundraisers now?  Well, the simple reality is, now that it's May, it's crunch time.  We are going to China NEXT MONTH.  That is SO exciting to me.  I can't wait!  It also means we have to come up with a whole bunch of money for travel.  Paul is working all the overtime he can get, and I'm trying to wrap up all our fundraising efforts to get those monies to our agency in time for travel.

To those who have given, shopped, donated to our garage sale, THANK YOU!  We are so grateful for your help!  To anyone who has been meaning to get around to it, NOW is the time!  One month from now, we should have firm travel dates and be getting ready to GO.

This month is going to go by SO fast, between the end of the high schoolers' school year, wrapping up our homeschool year before we leave, and getting all the last minute things (like visas!) done.  Our most important event between now and then is Annaliese's graduation.  I'm so proud of her, and I can't wait to see what unfolds in the next chapter of her life.

Thank you for following our journey.  We appreciate your encouragement, support, and prayers.
