MIRA Kitchen Scale

One of the things I love about reviewing is all the interesting products and companies I get exposed to!  When I reviewed the MIRA Bathroom Scale, I did not realize MIRA made other types of scale, as well.  Turns out, Mira Brands makes several scales, as well as reusable lunch containers.  Today, I'm reviewing the MIRA Digital Kitchen Scale.

MIRA's kitchen scale weighs your food in ounces & pounds, or in grams.  The platform is glass, which makes it super easy to clean.

This scale would be great for someone doing Weight Watchers or Spark People or any other diet program!  You can even set it to weigh only your food, and not the dish the food is in.

I know this scale is designed for food, and it's great for that (especially when converting foreign recipes!), but I discovered it's also a perfect scale for packages!  Having a bunch of little kids in carseats, the last thing I want to do is make a trip to the post office.  With this scale, I can calculate the right amount of postage here at home!  How many times has Paul asked me if an envelope was too heavy for one stamp?  We usually end up putting an extra one on it "just in case" since we didn't have an accurate way of finding out before now.

As you can see, the display is large, digital numbers, unlike my old spring style kitchen scale, which had an arrow hovering between tiny lines.  Much easier to read!

The MIRA Kitchen Scale sells for $21.99 on Amazon (affiliate link).  It measures up to 11#, and it comes with a long lasting lithium battery, so it's ready to go, right out of the box.  It has a 2 year warranty, as well.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  1. That's cool that you can figure out how much a package weighs so that you have the correct postage, to skip the long lines at the post office!

    1. I wish I'd had it back when I was sewing and selling online! It would have made shipping so much easier!
